The book club ladies had a delightful gathering filled with prayer, friendship, and deep contemplation on the novel “The Last Sin Eater”. If you are seeking a supportive group that delves beyond the pages of a book, feel free to join us. We cherish our time together and take joy in discovering ways we can contribute positively to our community.
The Cross Point Church’s Women’s Book Club will meet on May 21, 2024 at 10:30 A.M. in the church conference room. “The Woman from Lydia” by Angela Hunt will be the focus of our discussion during this meeting. “The Woman from Lydia” is a historical fiction novel about a woman from Philippi who was converted and the slave girl that Paul commanded the unclean spirit within her to leave. While this is a fiction novel, the author has researched the historical background of the book and provides details which create a fascinating story. Christian author, Francine Rivers says that Angela Hunt weaves history throughout the book to bring the reader into ancient times. Our discussion of this book should provide some deeper insight into events of this time period and the woman from Lydia. All women are invited to attend book club gatherings. Copies of our monthly books can be obtained in the church office for those individuals who plan to participate.
The next Women’s Gathering will be on May 7 at 6:30 PM in the lobby. You will not want to miss it !
