Imagine the Possibilities Campaign Update | November 2023
Imagine the Possibilities is a 3-year building fund debt reduction campaign. Imagine the Possibilities is about considering the things God is calling Cross Point Church to do in our community and collectively as a church family working toward accomplishing them. Imagine the Possibilities is about considering the possibilities that would become opened to us if we were not hindered by the mortgage debt on the building. The objectives of the campaign are to 1) cover the monthly mortgage payment of approximately $8,300.00 and 2) to raise funds to pay toward the principal balance outstanding on the mortgage.
The campaign kicked off in February 2023 with families submitting initial pledges in March 2023. So far 73 families have pledge $426,374 toward the Imagine the Possibilities Campaign $153,952.24 has been given to the Building Fund in 2023.
During the first 8 months of year 1 of the campaign, we have been able to make the mortgage payment of approximately $8,300.00 each month. Last year building fund giving was so low we regularly had to use money from our savings account to make the monthly payment. Praise God we haven’t had to do that this year! We have also been able to pay $55,000 additional to the principal balance on the mortgage loan. Praise the Lord!
In total, over $100,000 has been paid toward the principal balance of the mortgage loan during these first 8 months. Praise the Lord! Praise God for what he has done through the faithfulness of our church family!
Invitation to join:
Families can join the campaign at any time. It truly will take all of our church family working together to accomplish our goal to pay off the mortgage debt. If you’d like to join the campaign, simply pick up a campaign brochure from the Welcome Center in the Lobby or contact the church office at (304) 252-6684 and we will send you one. After you have reviewed the brochure, simply complete the pledge card and return it to the church office.
As you and your family decide to participate in this campaign, please consider the following:
FAITH: Move forward in faith. We are in uncertain economic times, but our faith enables us to trust God to guide us and provide for us.
SACRIFICE: Just as Jesus Christ sacrificed for us, we are now called upon to offer a gift. We all recognize God’s blessings and abundance in our lives. This is an opportunity to return to God the first fruits of our labor—not what we have left over.
COMMITMENT: Every gift will be important and needed during the Imagine the Possibilities campaign, no matter what the size. Please remember this: ALL pledges, no matter the size are welcomed—and all sacrifices are equal in the eyes of God.
