Imagine the Possibilities Campaign Update | February 2024

It is hard to believe we are completing year 1 of the Imagine the Possibilities campaign! We kicked off the campaign in February 2023 with families submitting initial pledges in March 2023. In February 2024, we will kick off phase 2 of the campaign.

What is Imagine the Possibilities?
Imagine the Possibilities is a 3-year building fund mortgage debt reduction campaign. Imagine the Possibilities is about considering the things God is calling Cross Point Church to do in our community and collectively as a church family working toward accomplishing them. Imagine the Possibilities is about considering the possibilities that would become opened to us if we were not hindered by the mortgage debt on the building. The objectives of the campaign are to 1) cover the monthly mortgage payment of approximately $8,300.00 and 2) to raise funds to pay toward the principal balance outstanding on the mortgage.

Reason to Celebrate:

1. So far 74 families have pledge $427,494.00 toward the Imagine the Possibilities Campaign.
2. $186,592.70 was given to the Building Fund in 2023.
3. During the first 11 months of year 1 of the campaign, we have been able to make the mortgage payment of approximately $8,300.00 each month. In 2022, building fund giving was so low we regularly had to use money from our savings account to make the monthly payment.
4. We have also been able to pay $65,000 additional to the principal balance on the loan.
5. In total, over $136,000 has been paid toward the principal balance of the mortgage loan during these first 11 months. Praise the Lord!

Praise God for what he has done through the faithfulness of our church family!

Invitation to Join:
Families can join the campaign at any time. During the month of February, we will launch Phase 2 of the campaign. During this launch you will learn how you can join the campaign.
As you and your family decide to participate in this campaign, please consider the following:

FAITH: Move forward in faith. We are in uncertain economic times, but our faith enables us to trust God to guide us and provide for us.

SACRIFICE: Just as Jesus Christ sacrificed for us, we are now called upon to offer a gift. We all recognize God’s blessings and abundance in our lives. This is an opportunity to return to God the first fruits of our labor—not what we have left over.

COMMITMENT: Every gift will be important and needed during the Imagine the Possibilities campaign, no matter what the size. Please remember this: ALL pledges, no matter the size are welcomed—and all sacrifices are equal in the eyes of God.
