Carpenter's Corner

Have you ever considered preparing a meal for the hungry individuals in our community? If so, this ministry is perfect for YOU!

The Carpenter’s Corner is a non-profit 501C3 feeding ministry located at 104 Prince Street in uptown Beckley. We receive support from around 30 churches, various local businesses, and individuals who contribute through volunteering, donations, and food drives. All our volunteers are unpaid and share a common goal of assisting others.

Established in 2005 by 3 or 4 local churches, the ministry initially served a hot meal three days a week. Due to the increasing needs in our community, we now provide meals six days a week and distribute groceries every Friday. We proudly say, “God smiles on The Carpenter’s Corner.” In 2023, we served over 55,000 meals!

Curious about a day at TCC? A group of volunteers from a church helps prepare and serve meals. We supply all the food and necessary items for preparing a wholesome meal. Our team is ready to assist with meal selection and serving. Most groups serve from 11 AM to 1 PM, while some prefer 3 PM to 5 PM. You can make an impact by joining other volunteers from Cross Point to help feed those in need in our community.

Our Cross Point community has a long-standing history of active involvement and was among the pioneering churches that initiated this feeding ministry. There are numerous opportunities through which one can contribute. Let’s strive to connect with an Outreach opportunity that is desperately needed and by you being a part of can make a lasting impact.
