Pastor's Note
Well, here we are — June has snuck up on us like a summer thunderstorm rolling over the mountains. And true to form, it's going to be a full and meaningful month at Cross Point.
Elder Board Nominations
One of the most important things we'll do this month is invite you to prayerfully nominate men and women for our Elder Board. Two of our faithful elders — Connie Runion and Matt Lacek — will complete their second consecutive terms of service this year. We are deeply grateful for the wisdom, faithfulness, and heart they have brought to this church. Now it's time to ask: Who is God raising up for the next season? Nomination forms are available at the Welcome Center in the lobby. Please take one, pray over it, and return it to the Church Office by June 30. As we look toward the next twenty years of ministry at Cross Point, the people God places in this role matter enormously. Don't take that responsibility lightly — or for granted.
Anderson Camp Meeting — June 3–5
There's a kind of holy nostalgia that comes with saying "Anderson, Indiana." For generations, people from across our movement made the pilgrimage there each summer — to pray, to worship, and to seek God's face together. We return there this year, and I couldn't be more thankful.
A special assembly has been called to address some significant matters for our tribe going forward. These are consequential conversations, and we need your prayers covering every moment. Please lift us up.
Father's Day — June 21
Father's Day falls on June 21 this year, and we want to celebrate every father and father figure in the Cross Point family. You know who they are — the men who showed up, who stayed, who modeled what it looks like to walk with Christ. Take a moment this month to honor them. A phone call, a hug, a heartfelt word — it matters more than you know.
Craigsville Camp Meeting — Beginning June 21
Like in Anderson, IN, Camp Meeting season comes to West Virginia on Father's Day evening, when Craigsville Camp Meeting opens in Cottle. Dr. Melissa Pratt will be the keynote speaker each night. Melissa and her husband, Thom, served faithfully as pastors in our state for many years, and she brings a depth of experience and spirit that is always worth the drive. I hope you'll make your way to Craigsville this year. There's something about gathering under an open sky with the people of God that does something to your soul that Sunday morning alone can't quite replicate.
IYC — Cincinnati, Ohio
Finally, our Student Ministry is taking a large group of young people to Cincinnati for the International Youth Convention. Thousands of students from across North America will come together for worship, teaching, and genuine connection. This is the kind of moment that shapes a generation. Please pray — specifically and fervently — for our youth and their leaders. Pray that what God wants to do in each heart, He does without restraint.
June is full. But full of good things — the kind of things that remind us why we do what we do.
Love,
Pastor Vondie and Lori

Community Impact Opportunity
Crescent Elementary is bringing their Kindergarten and Fifth Grade graduation ceremonies to our campus — and that means hundreds of students, families, and school staff are walking through our doors.
This is one of the most natural opportunities we have all year to show our community what Cross Point is about. No programs, no pitches — just warm, genuine hospitality that lets people know they are seen and welcomed.
To make these evenings a success, we need volunteers in three areas:
Parking Lot & Greeting — Help direct traffic and welcome guests with a warm smile.
Volunteers need to arrive by 5:00 PM and will meet at the Welcome Center in the Lobby.
Cleanup Crew — Help us leave the building better than we found it after the ceremonies wrap up. Cleanup volunteers need to arrive by 7:30 PM.
Graduation dates:
Kindergarten Graduation — Monday, June 1
Fifth Grade Graduation — Tuesday, June 2
If you'd like to be part of this, contact the church office, scan the QR code, or sign up through the Cross Point App.

Men's Ministry
Brothers of the Way Men’s Ministry Update
Greetings Cross Point family from your Men’s Ministry team, we had a great time of fellowship and hard work together doing some spring cleaning jobs at our campus in May. We were able to install a new drainage line outside of our adult class wing, installed a new slide on our playground, power washed and scrubbed, cleaned out gutters, and many other needs. We want to thank each and every one of you that were available to come and get these projects done.
In the month of June we want to invite you to Friends and Fellowship Around the Fire. This two day event will be for you guys that just want to come down and hang out at anytime during our stay, or if you want to bring a tent and spend the night, we will have a sign-up sheet available at the welcome center. There will be fishing from the bank or bring your kayak. We will have food and games set up as well.

What the Bible Teaches Part 3
Wednesday @ 6:30 PM in Lobby
Facilitator: TBA
Description: As we continue diving into the riches of God’s word in a systematic way, we arrive at some Biblical understandings that, if not rightly understood in light of the Word of God, can lead us astray. In Part 3 of What the Bible Teaches, we will examine salvation, sanctification, living a holy life, divine healing, the unity of believers, and the New Testament Church. There is a lot to digest and navigate, so get ready for God to show YOU the riches in His Word.
Bible Study: The Book of 1 Peter
Wednesday @ 6:30 PM in Room 106
Facilitator: TBA
Description: This world looks nothing like the promised perfect kingdom of God. And yet, we, as God's people, must live in it every day. In The Book of 1 Peter, he walks through the short letter and unpacks the importance of our witness in this world.
The world's not as it should be. Until the day that God rights all wrongs, we have a job to do. Let's be about the business of the kingdom.
The Lie You Don't Know You Believe
Wednesday @ 6:30 PM in Room 107
Facilitator: TBA
Description: Most of us have been living inside a lie so long it feels like the truth. It has quietly shaped our identity, our relationships, and even how we see God. In this series, author and speaker Jennie Allen pulls back the curtain on the enemy’s oldest trick—and shows us how to dismantle his lies with the spiritual authority we already have in Christ. Whether you’re struggling to feel worthy, wrestling with fear, or longing to break old patterns, this study will equip you to silence the lies with God’s Word and unleash lasting transformation in Christ.
Young at Heart
Wednesdays @ 2:00 PM in Room 107
Facilitators: Vondie Cook Sr. & Dana Hosch
Description: A special time just for our seniors!

Night of Prayer | June 3 at 6:30 pm
When was the last time you came to church not to receive something — but simply to seek God?
Second Chronicles 7:14 has been a anchor for God's people for centuries: if His people will humble themselves, pray, seek His face, and turn from their ways — He will hear, forgive, and restore. That promise hasn't expired. And in times like these, we need it more than ever.
On Wednesday, June 3 at 6:30 PM, we're gathering as a church family for a special Evening of Prayer. Whether you're carrying a burden you need to lay down, seeking God's direction, or simply wanting to add your voice to the prayers of your church family — come. All are welcome. Let's seek His face together.

As our Adventure Alley kids move into a new grade and our 5th graders transition to the Youth Ministry, we’ll celebrate with this year’s theme: Made for More, reminding kids that God has a greater purpose for their lives than what the world offers. You will not want to miss this special day!
Women's Ministry
Women's Book Club | May 19 at 10:30 AM
Cross Point Church’s Women’s Book Club will meet on Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at 10:30 A.M. in the church conference room. Our discussion will focus on the book “Grace In the Flames” by Michelle Massaro. Ms. Massaro writes contemporary Christian fiction books. This book is actually Book 1 of a 3-book series. The storyline for “Grace In the Flames” brings three people together: a prodigal, a sinner, and a saint to weave a plot that will touch your heart. These three broken lives intersect as they wrestle with their faith and God’s grace. You are welcome to join us as we discuss this book’s story of heartache and learning to stand firm on your faith in God!
