"What comes into our minds when we think about God
Our Core Beliefs
Cross Point Church is part of the Church of God (Anderson, Indiana), which is a global movement of people seeking to fulfill God’s mission in the world. We’re committed to studying the Word of God and faithfully living it out. We’re committed to the mission that Jesus Christ gave every believer: to make disciples of all nations.
We believe in one God.
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
- We believe in God the Father Almighty, Creator of all things visible and invisible.
- We believe in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the eternal Word, the one and only Savior.
- We believe Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, both fully human and fully God. Jesus lived a sinless life; suffered and was crucified as an atonement for sin.
- We believe Jesus rose again bodily from the dead on the third day and ascended into Heaven and who will return again one day.
- We believe in the Holy Spirit who convicts of sin and indwells in every Christian. The Holy Spirit desires to fill each believer completely in order to be a witness of the supernatural power of God in the life of the believer and helps us in our weakness and intercedes for us in prayer. The Holy Spirit empowers us to a fruitful Christian life.

We believe in the Bible.
God's holy word
- We believe God inspired the original writings of the Scripture and those original writings were consequently without error.
- We believe the Bible is the final authority for all matters of faith, truth, morality, and Christian living.
- We believe the Bible teaches that God is the Creator and Sustainer of human life; that God creates each person in His image; and that life is therefore sacred, from conception to natural death.
- We believe that God creates each person as male or female; that these two distinct, complementary genders together reflect the "image of God" in humankind; and that each person's biological gender is an intrinsic, immutable aspect of his or her nature and identity.
- We believe the Bible teaches that God established marriage in the beginning as a life-long, exclusive relationship between one man and one woman; that He has reserved sexual intimacy as an expression of love and commitment between married couples; and that any intimate expression of sexuality outside of Biblical marriage is sin.
We believe Jesus will Return
- We believe Jesus will return again one day. When that is we do not know. Yet, we do know what to do as we await his second coming.
- Then he said to him, "Rise and go; your faith has made you well." Once, on being asked by the Pharisees when the Kingdom of God would come, Jesus replied, "The coming of the kingdom of God is not something that can be observed, nor will people say, "Here it is," or "There it is," because the kingdom of God is in your midst." - Luke 17 : 19-21
- But seek first His kingdom and his righteousness, and all of these things will be given to you as well.
- Mathew 6 : 33 - "The time has come," he said, "The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!"
- Mark 1 :15
We Believe in the Gospel
The good news of salvation
- We believe that man, created by God, willfully sinned against God and is consequently lost and without hope apart from Jesus Christ. Salvation, the forgiveness of sins, is only by grace through the blood of Jesus Christ.
- Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God. - Romans 5 : 1-2
- One receives salvation by putting faith in Jesus Christ, repenting of sin, and confessing Christ.
- We believe the Bible teaches every believer to follow Christ's example and be baptized.
- A person demonstrates a servant's heart when you follow the Lord's example and participate in feet washing. (John 13 : 1-17
- Those who have received salvation through faith in Jesus Christ are sent into the world to proclaim the gospel and to love and serve the world just as Jesus himself did.
- We believe in the Church of God, purchased by the blood of Jesus Christ on the Cross and empowered on the Day of Pentecost, consisting of all Christ followers everywhere, and organized into local assemblies, called churches.
