Young at Heart Seniors Group
Wednesdays @ 4:00 PM in Room 107
Facilitator: Vondie Cook Sr. & Dana Hosch
True faith produces fruit. A faith without action and without life change is ultimately a dead faith. The book of James speaks to the realities of a living faith in Jesus—the kind of roll-up-your-sleeves and get-your-hands-dirty discipleship that is borne out of an authentic relationship with the risen Lord. James writes to believers who know suffering, who've faced trials, and who ultimately desire a deep relationship with God. Francis works through James verse-by-verse, challenging followers of Christ to move beyond a private, intellectual knowledge of God and His Word, to a vibrant faith that impacts every square inch of life.
The Book of Joshua
Wednesdays @ 6:30 PM in the lobby
Facilitator: Jeremy Watson
After roaming the wilderness for decades, God's people finally reached the Promised Land.
But there were still obstacles that stood in their way. Securing the land God had promised them would
require strength, courage, and faith. In this eight-session series, you will learn that our story today isn't
too far removed from Joshua and the Israelites: we need the same strength, courage, and faith to face
the challenges in our lives. Learn what it means to follow God faithfully, no matter what obstacles are
before you.
Max on Life
Wednesdays @ 6:30 PM in Room 107
Facilitator: Pastor Vondie
Why Me? Why am I here? Why did this happen? Can you help me understand? Where's the
lifeline? Where can I turn? Is there any hope? We have questions. Real, important and challenging
questions. Questions about family, finances, and forgiveness. Unsettling questions regarding illness,
death and eternity. Don't we crave answers to these questions that tug on the deepest parts of our
hearts? This study will tackle some of life's most important questions.
Working in a Uniquely Christian Way
Wednesdays at 6:30 PM in Room 106
Facilitator: Pastor Justin
Much has been written about the ‘theology of work.’ But as is often the case with theology,
the big question is, “what does it look like here and now?” How do Christians apply this theology to the
industries, vocations, companies and jobs into which God has strategically placed them in a way that is
not only consistent, but facilitates inter-vocational partnerships for the gospel renewal of cities and
nations? Starting from a solid theological bedrock, this study offers a simple biblical framework that can
be implemented immediately by any believer in any vocation and in any position.
During these 8 weeks you will: Dig into discipleship. You will learn what it means to be a disciple of Jesus Christ and what God expects for Christians. Learn about serving – what it is and why it is important; You will discover how God has uniquely gifted you and how you can utilize those gifts to serve Him; Discover the importance of small groups. Learn how they are important times to connect, share life together, and engage; learn what makes Cross Point unique; and hear the incredible journey from a courthouse revival to a thriving church that is making an eternal impact in the community.
