In the beginning...
1928
Beckley First Church of God, now known as Cross Point Church, began through a revival at the Raleigh County Courthouse in 1928 and was the church home for 160 locals.
Despite the addition, and congregation's creative uses of the space,
we quickly realized the church on South Oakwood was not suited to hold our growing congregation or support our mission to expand out the walls of the building and reach the community.

Expanding the vision...
2010
In 2002, a generous donor gifted us the property where the church is currently located.
Our church family helped to plan, construct, and decorate the place our congregation would call home, and in 2010, we were able to move into the new building and continue to maximize the space God has provided us to grow His Kingdom every day!

Continuing to impact.
Heading into a new decade, we know that the 21st century church is more than face-to-face. It requires innovation and adaptation in order to reach every new generation coming in. Cross Point believes in creating an impact, not only in our community, but around the world and have seen the vision of not only ministering in our in-person services but also through online ministry and training opportunities. We strive to share the gospel and connect with you whether you live here in Beckley or are watching our livestream from Kenya. Each Sunday, Cross Point has over 400 people attend church in person and 100 people online.
