God Chose a Father for His Son

We know God chose Mary to carry His Son. But Pastor Cook reminded us that God also chose Joseph — deliberately, intentionally — to be the earthly stepfather of Jesus. That wasn't an accident. That was a divine appointment.

So what kind of man did God choose?

He chose a loving man. A devout man who didn't question God but obeyed Him, even when what he was asked to do didn't make sense by the world's standards. He chose a man of faith who was faithful in his spiritual duties — consistently, quietly, without fanfare. And He chose a wise man who understood the weight of the time he had been given and used it honorably.

Joseph didn't have forever with Jesus. But he made every moment count.
