Our Leadership

Vondie Cook has been the Pastor at Cross Point for over 34 years. He attended Warner University, Liberty University, and Capella University. He and his wife Lori love to travel. Their family also loves to play in the water with their jet ski. Pastor Vondie also enjoys playing golf. He and Lori have five grown children: Matt (Kelsi), Staci (Justin), Chance (Michaela), Courtney (Hunter) and Tyra (Seth). They have three grandchildren Lisa, Harper, and Raleigh. Plus three dogs, Zeke, Millie and Remlie.

Receiving degrees in accounting and management, Pastor Justin felt for sure he would end up working for an accounting company. However, God had other plans for his life, calling him into ministry. Pastor Justin began as a Youth Intern at Cross Point and now serves as Administrative Pastor where he oversees the day to day operations of the church. He loves his wife Janie, cooking, and being outdoors.

Pastor Rob loves student ministry and raising up a new generation of Christ centered disciples! He has been working with youth in Beckley since interning with Cross Point in 2002 and received an M.A. in Executive Leadership from Liberty University in 2017. He and his beautiful wife Katie have three great kids (Caroline, Maggie and Samuel).  Rob is often seen talking about college football and helping organize trips and activities for students and families.

Running the halls of Adventure Alley with a hot cup of coffee in one hand and possibly hula hoops in the other would be Rhonda Duckworth. Rhonda has spent her entire adult life teaching and leading children and taught many years in public school. She describes her call to children’s ministry (when asked to join the Cross Point Staff in 2013) as, “finally admitting to herself that she was far more passionate about  helping kids develop a relationship with Jesus Christ than with complex fractions.” Rhonda’s greatest love on this side of eternity is her family. She’s been married to her husband, Greg, since 1994 and together they have raised two amazing daughters, Brianna and Erin.

Miss Madison can often be found handing out goldfish crackers, playing musical chairs or holding one of our many kiddos in the PreK/Nursery rooms. Earning a Bachelor's of Science, she also holds an elementary education endorsement to which she utilizes for teaching both here and in public school. She has a heart for serving others and teaching little ones about Jesus. She has 2 beautiful daughters with her husband Marcus. She loves spending time with her family, being outside, and going on trips.

Brittany has been the administrative assistant for a little over a year now. She is a
previous stay @ home wife and mom. She has a passion for learning, and teaching. As
administrative assistant she handles a variety of tasks which include the church
newsletter, and weekly worship guides. She loves God’s word and her favorite scripture
is Ephesians 2:10 “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works,
which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.”
